Mid-1970's to Mid-1980's
During the decade I was with Navarro Alternatives, the public internet had not been invented yet. Unfortunately, because of this, there are few public records, magazine exposures, or photographs available to search. The photos below are of personal pieces made for family, or a few resales found on the Internet.
Freshwater Pearls, Braided with Red Jasper and 14k Gold Beads
Pure Jeweled Embellishments. Made for Mom; early 1980s. I created several versions of this necklace for Navarro, in darker earthy beads.
Mom - 1927?
These bone & ivory chokers are similar to one featured in a Saks 5th Avenue catalog.
Ivory was still legal; we used factory scraps, polished into many shapes.
Broach with sterling disk, bone point, and ivory tassel.
Joan Collins, aka Alexis Colby, wore one of these on Dynasty.
Take that Crystal!
Jade Swept-Away
Typical early Navarro style.
Long five strands, classic Navarro bone clasp
Nickel-silver disk, multi-strand, multi-tassel, bone clasp.
The Mah Jong
One of a Kind Statement Pieces were popular in the early 1980's
Tassel Pieces from early 1980's
This was an interesting project. I recently took apart this early 80s piece, and restrung it to 'modern standards' - on smooth 49-strand steel wire.
Over the decades, on the left, the silver & copper plated beads were mostly black. The string had become wrinkled, making the whole necklace look kinked. I updated the beads in the tassel, and replaced some cheap glass beads with stones.
It was fun to deconstruct something I made four decades ago, and revisit how I did it back then! And I think it looks better now...

Angular broach on the left is early Jeweled Embellishments. Four broaches on right were made for Navarro.
